Some religious leaders in Kwara State have appealed to organized labour unions in the country and Federal Government to tow the path of dialogue against the proposed industrial action slated for this week with a view to having lasting solution to the incessant hike in the price of Premium Motor Spirit, PMS, in the country.
The Church leaders made the appeal during their Sunday worship services in Ilorin the Kwara state capital as they called on the Federal government to provide necessary palliatives to cushion the effect of the removal of subsidy on Nigerians who bear the brunt.

They also maintained that prayers are crucial in a developing nation like Nigeria
Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, and its affiliate unions across the country are threatening to embark on a nationwide strike on Wednesday should the federal government fail to revert to the old petroleum pump price of #195 per liter for the Premium Motor Spirit, PMS, and dialogue with relevant stakeholders on the modalities to employ in the removal of subsidy.
