The police have directed its officers and men to enforce strict restrictions of vehicular movement from 12 am-6 pm on election day towards having a hitch-free electoral process.
This is coming after the over six-hour meeting with senior police officers by the State Police Commissioner, Lawal Daura.
In a statement by the Police Public Relations Officer, NAFIU ABUBAKAR charged the residents to adhere to the laid down directives to avoid security harassment.

Daura also called on parents and guardians to warn their children and wards not to engage in any form of violence, political thuggery, or attempt to snatch ballot boxes, as the Command in collaboration with other security agencies is ready to deal decisively with any situation, please.
The Police Commissioner tasked Area Commanders, Divisional Police officers, and other tactical commanders to exhibit a high level of professionalism and abide by the revised Force Standard Operational Guidelines including other law enforcement during the supplementary elections on Saturday.
