The Supreme Court has fixed judgement in the appeal filed by the All Progressives Congress, APC and its candidate, Emmanuel Jime challenging the 2019 governorship election in Benue State that brought Governor Samuel Ortom back to power.
The 7-member panel of justices stood down the matter after counsels for both parties adopted their written arguments.

The appellant wants the Court to upturn the election of Governor Ortom of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP for being in gross non-compliance with the electoral law.
The Court is also hearing the appeal in the Adamawa governorship election tussle where Jibrilla Bindow of the APC is challenging the election of the incument governor and PDP candidate, Ahmadu Fintiri
