A suspected case of coronavirus has been reported in Dogon Marke village of bakori Local Government Area of Katsina state, north-west Nigeria.
speaking to AIT in a telephone interview, executive secretary state primary healthcare development agency, Dr. Shamsudeen Yahaya said, the blood sample of the suspected case has been taken for laboratory test and the result has been awaited.

Yahaya said the victim came from Lagos state where he was working for an Indian man before the enforcement of land border closure in Katsina state.
Meanwhile, unconfirmed reports in the early hours of monday alleged that the man with the suspected coronavirus case has left the community to an unknown destination after his specimen was taken.
The report also said that the health authorities in the state were not aware of his whereabouts.
however, the permanent secretary, Sate ministry of health, Dr. Kabir Mustapha dismissed the report in a telephone interview saying, the health authorities have placed the suspect in isolation until the result of the coronavirus test is out.
katsina state is yet to record any confirmed case of coronavirus as the last suspected case tested negative.
