Suspected armed herdsmen have killed 3 farmers in a forest at Ijugbere in Owo Local Government Area of Ondo State. The killings were done on Saturday.
Senior Special Assistant to Ondo Governor on Agriculture, Akin Olotu confirmed the killings.
He described the killing of the farmers as unfortunate, saying those blaming Governor Rotimi Akeredolu for saying the illegal occupants should vacate the forests should bury their heads in shame.
Meanwhile, the Ondo State Police Command says only one farmer was killed on a farmland by suspected armed herdsmen at Ijugbere in Owo Local Government Area of Ondo State.

Police Public Relations Officer, Tee Leo Ikoro while confirming the incident to ait.live on telephone said the gunmen invaded the farmland overpowered the farmers leading to the death of one while 3 others were injured.
Ikoro said the State Commissioner of Police, Bolaji Salami has ordered full scale investigation into the incident.
He said men of the Force have already been deployed to the forest to arrest the perpetrators of the crime.
