Taraba State Deputy Governor Haruna Manu has inaugurated a Technical Working Group for the State’s Road Safety Advisory Council, in Jalingo the State capital.
The newly inaugurated group is to give technical support to the Road Safety Advisory Council in the State to promote public safety and comfort of road users.
From averting cases of road accidents, to the safety and security of road users in the face of daunting security challenges, the newly inaugurated Technical Working Group has significant roles to play in maintaining law and order on Taraba roads.
They are to provide technical support to the Taraba State Road Safety Advisory Council.

The Technical Working Group was inaugurated by Taraba State Deputy Governor Haruna Manu, who is also it’s chairman.
Members of the group are drawn from various professions, and skills.
The Taraba State Deputy Governor Haruna Manu hopes that the group will play key roles in reducing the number of road crashes in the State, and adopt a uniform standard in traffic enforcement.
The inaugurated Technical Working Group of the Taraba State Road Safety Advisory Council is also expected to make annual review of road safety strategies, and identify the responsibilities of States in Nigerian Road Safety Strategies.
