The Taraba State Deputy Governor Haruna Manu has called on the security agencies in the State, to apprehend all persons responsible for the vandalisation and looting of public and private properties in Jalingo the state capital.
The Deputy Governor was speaking after visiting some places destroyed by hoodlums, to assess the level of damage.
He discovered that privately owned secondary schools in Jalingo were also not spared.
In one of institutions, the school gates, hundreds of computers, 3 vehicles, furniture, and every electronic gadget were carted away by the hoodlums, while the school proprietor was also attacked.
Many business owners in Jalingo, are already lamenting years of investment, lost to the hoodlums just within few days.

Public owned properties such as the Taraba State Radio Corporation and the Skills Acquisition Centre, belonging to the office of Taraba State Governor’s wife, Anna Ishaku, suffered the same fate.
Deputy Governor Haruna Manu condemned the incident but commended Taraba youths who liaised with the security personnel, to stop the hoodlums in some of the areas.
Already the Taraba State Police Public Relations Officer, David Misal says, 23 suspects have been arrested in connection with the incident.
He says the police will continue its crackdown on persons that participated in the vandalism and looting of the properties in the State.
