22 billion Naira out of the Taraba State’s 2020 budget has been allocated to Covid-19 intervention.
The budget has also been reviewed downward from 215 to 176 billion Naira, due to the economic effect of Covid-19.
Taraba State Ministry for Budget and Planning gave a breakdown of the details of the adjustments made to the state’s 2020 budget, to face the new economic reality, created by the Covid-19 pandemic.
The budget has been reduced by 39 billion Naira, and the Covid-19 intervention expenditure has been accommodated in the adjusted budget.
The Commissioner for Budget and Planning, Solomon Elisha says, the budget has been signed into law by the Governor.
The new appropriation bill has an allocation of 104 billion Naira to capital expenditure, and a recurrent expenditure of 72 billion Naira.
