Taraba State Government is supporting large scale Soya Beans farming in the state with 500 million naira.
Governor Darius Ishaku has already flagged-off the distribution of farm inputs to 2,200 soya beans farmers under the Accelerated Soya Beans Farming Programme.
The farmers have received financial support and farming inputs as loan from the Taraba State Government to enable them commence the 2020 soya beans farming season.
Their harvests will be purchased by the State Government.
The step is being taken by the government to support cash crop farming.
Taraba State Commissioner for Agriculture, David Kassa, cautioned the soya beans farmers against selling the farming inputs. He said violators will be prosecuted.

The beneficiaries were elated by the government’s support, saying, guranteed market has been the bane for soya beans farming.
Taraba State Government is expected to produce at least 60, 000 metric tonnes of soya beans in one year under the large scale soya beans production programme.
