Taraba State Government has reviewed its 2021 budget downward from #168.6b to #141.2b.
The Commissioner For Budget and Planning, Solomon Elisha said the 2021 budget which has been signed into law by the Taraba State Governor, Darius Ishaku,captured the #30,000 minimum wage for civil servants in the state.
He said the 2021 appropriation law is a product of consultations in the three senatorial zones of the state and is a representation of the people’s needs.
Solomon Elisha added that the economic sector takes the biggest chunk of the capital expenditure with various projects to be executed.

Taraba State Government has also signed the Open Government Partnership, a multilateral initiative, advocating for transparency in public finance management.
The Partnership is expected to checkmate the efficient implementation of the appropriation law.
