Team Rivers is to kick start preparations for the Edo twentieth National Sports Festival on Tuesday with a close camping at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium and the Civic Centre before hitting Benin City, Edo State, venue of the games.
Permanent Secretary in the Rivers State Ministry of Sports, Honour Sirawoo, who stated this in a chat with AIT shortly after a meeting with the camp officials, said that Rivers State is looking forward to an eventful festival in Benin city.

Sirawoo assured that the Adokiye Amiesimaka sports complex which has been dormant for more 3 years, years will soon become a beehive of activities, with the camping of teams, as well as the relocation of the rivers, state sports council to the complex.
He assured that the sports ministry will do everything to ensure the comfort of team rivers contingent.
Rivers state had finished among the top five in the last three National Sports Festivals.
