The Police in Adamawa State has confirmed the alleged killing of 18 suspected kidnappers by thunderstorms in neighbouring Republic of Cameroun and not in any Nigerian territory.

This was contained in a statement signed by the spokesman of the state’s command, Suleiman Nguroje.

Nguroje was reacting to viral social media reports which claimed that thunderstorm had killed 18 kidnappers in Toungo Local Government Area of Adamawa State.

He said investigations have shown that the alleged event did not occur in Toungo area of Adamawa State as alleged but in Pawati Forest in neighbouring Cameroun Republic.
