Tottenham goalkeeper, Hugo Lloris, has had surgery on the left elbow he dislocated in the 3-0 defeat at Brighton last month.
Lloris suffered the horrific injury as he fell into his goal after dropping a cross from Seagulls midfielder Pascal Gross early on in the match on October 5.
The club released a statement on Thursday morning to provide an update on the 32-year-old’s injury.
The statement read: ‘Following further clinical testing and examination, Hugo Lloris has now undergone surgery on his left elbow.
‘The France goalkeeper dislocated his elbow and sustained ligament damage during our Premier League match against Brighton & Hove Albion last month.
‘Surgery was advised after further reviews by specialists found the elbow remained unstable.
‘Our Club captain remains on course to return to training in the early part of next year.’
Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino has used reserve goalkeeper Paulo Gazzaniga in Lloris’ absence.
