Over three hundred passengers’ lives were saved after what could have been two air mishaps by Airpeace and Ibom Air were averted at the Murtala muhammed international airport on Thurseday.
The Airpeace aircraft with registration number 5NBVE was said to be one of the new flights to London arriving lagos from Port-harcourt. It made an emergency landing in Lagos
Earlier, disaster was also averted on an Abuja-bound aircraft at the point of take-offf over faulty landing gear as air travellers were asked to immediately disembark.
The fire service and other safety related agencies were immediately deployed to the scenes to quell the situations.
Some air passengers had narrated their ordeal on their social media handles.

Airpeace through a statement said the fire alarm was falsely triggered after the pilot noticed a fire warning indicator in the cockpit.
lbom air also issued a statement explaining to the public that engineers noticed an issue with the nose gear after it pushed , claiming it was a routine practice.
The incidents occurred barely 72 hours after the Dana air flight from Abuja skidded off the runway in Lagos and was suspended by the Nigeria civil aviation authority, NCAA.
