Two Kidnapped Catholic Priests regain freedom

Two Catholic priests kidnapped last Friday by unknown gunmen along Benin/ Owo highway, in Ondo State have regained their freedom.

They were freed after spending five days with their abductors.

The two priests, Rev. Fr. Joseph Nweke and Rev. Fr. Felix Efobi from Awka Catholic Diocese were kidnapped on Benin-Owo Highway on their way to a wedding ceremony in Akure.

Their abductors had demanded a sum of N100 million as a ransom for their release.

Meanwhile, it is yet to be ascertained if ransom was paid to their abductors.
