Akwa Ibom State Governor, Udom Emmanuel, has commended President Muhammadu Buhari for appointing their son, Effiong Akwa, as the Sole Administrator of the Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC.
Governor Emmanuel who gave the commendation when the Sole Administrator of the NDDC paid him a courtesy visit at Government House, Uyo, also commended Akwa for engaging with stakeholders on the way forward.
The Sole Administrator and his management team were in Government House, Uyo in continuation of their engagement with governors of the region. Governor Emmanuel thanked the NDDC for the visit and praised President Buhari for Akwa’s appointment.
He also commended the NDDC for acknowledging the state as the cleanest.
Governor Emmanuel said the state is ready to partner with the commission and calls on it to revisit some projects in the state.

The Sole Administrator of the NDDC also appreciated the governor for the wonderful reception and promised to collaborate with state governors to develop the region.
The NDDC donated six waste disposal trucks, a marine boat, fire fighting gadgets, and receptacles to the state to help maintain its status as the cleanest in the country.
