Ebonyi State Governor, Dave Umahi wants some clarifications made with regards to the financial autonomy reportedly granted to the states’ judiciary and legislature by the Federal Government.
He is insisting that the definition of the policy has distortions.
Governor Umahi made the submission while speaking in Abakiliki, at a valedictory court session to mark the retirement from service of the state’s Chief Judge, Justice Anselm Nwaigwe.
The Governor is suggesting that what should be done to resolve the financial autonomy controversy, is for the Federal Government to have the budget of the judiciary and legislative arms of government on the first line charge.
