The Deputy Secretary-General of the United Nations and chair of the United Nations Sustainable Development Group, (UNSDG), Amina Mohammed, has been visiting Borno State on an assessment of the resettlement of Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) by the Borno State and the federal government.
The visit is expected to inform what assistance can be delivered by the United Nations.
The UN Deputy Secretary-General and her entourage, in the company of Borno State Governor Babagana Zulum,
had traveled in a chopper to visit some of the IDP camps in Banki, some 190 kilometers from Maiduguri, to see things for themselves.

Governor Babagana Zulum thanked the UN for its commitment to see stability in Borno State.
