The Association of Senior Civil Servants of Nigeria has shut down activities at the Abuja Headquarters of the Nigerian Investment Promotion Commission, NIPC, demanding the immediate removal of the Executive Secretary, Yewande Sadiku.
The union alleged her failure to implement the NIPC’s Governing Council’s approvals among others supposed infractions.
The NIPC chapter Chairman of the union, Yusuf Mustapha, told AIT the ongoing protest will lead to a warning strike except the demands are totally met.
He listed other demands to include the NIPC’s management’s alleged mon-provision of personal protective equipments to guard against spread of COVID-19.

As at the time of filing this report, the NIPC management was yet to react to the development.
