Small business operators and lecturers at the University of Uyo in Akwa Ibom State, have called on the Federal Government to ensure that there was no repeat of the eight-month long strike by the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU.
They made their feelings known when they spoke to our correspondent who visited the institution.

A visit to the University revealed that lecturers have resumed and a few businesses have also resumed.
Lecturers also spoke on their experiences during the strike.
The business operators and the lecturers lamented the effects of the strike on the health of their colleagues.
