We have confirmation that six persons were burnt on Saturday in the gas explosion that rocked the Kaduna State capital in North-West Nigeria. Authorities of the Kaduna State Fire Service who confirmed the casualty figure say the cause of the explosion was not known.
While investigation has commenced to ascertain the cause of the explosion, the Fire Service has advised government to ban unauthorised persons from selling gas in public places.
The incident which occurred at about 3pm at Ungwan Boro area of the metropolis also left four others injured and property worth millions of Naira destroyed.
Dogara Musa who is a barber in one of the shops affected in the inferno say it was a miracle that he escaped death.
