The United States Government has reiterated its commitment to support Nigeria in every aspect of development, particularly in the area of health care service delivery which is key to general development.
US Ambassador to Nigeria, Mary Beth Leonard stated this while speaking in a teleconference with Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed, during the official launch of the Covid-19 Emergency Operations Centre (EOC) in Bauchi, the state capital.
With the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic in Nigeria, the United States Agency for International Development, USAID, has identified 8 partner states in the country, including Bauchi, which it says it will support in managing the pandemic.

The American Ambassador commends the Bauchi State Government for its commitment to fight the spread of the novel disease. She stresses that everything possible must be done to curb the pandemic from further spread.
While launching the Emergency Operations Centre, Governor Mohammed commended the US Government, through the USAID, for the various interventions in the State.
State Commissioner for Health, Aliyu Maigoro, applauded the EOC, saying it has assisted greatly in the fight against the spread of the Covid-19 in Bauchi State.
