The United States of America, USA, has expressed interest in improving its working relationship with Kenya in the area of democracy, human rights, economic ties, anti-corruption war, refugees, and their host communities.
Other areas include global health, regional security, and climate change for the benefit of the American and Kenyan people.
U.S. Secretary of State, Antony Blinken stated these when he met with Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta and Cabinet Secretary for Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Raychelle Omamo to open his virtual visit to Kenya.

They discussed the strategic partnership with the United States’ as it concern the ongoing humanitarian and human rights crises in Tigray.
Both countries also discussed reports of atrocities, and the threat that the extension of Somali President Farmajo’s term poses to stability in Somalia and the campaign against al-Shabaab.
Secretary Blinken also noted Kenya’s strong and durable multilateral engagement with the UN Security Council .
