Just before his swearing in as Governor of Imo State, Hope Uzodinma has written to all financial institutions maintaining funds for the state not to honour any cheque or draft.
The letter was issued by the Director General of Uzodinma’s campaign organization, Cosmas Iwu, following Tuesday’s Supreme Court judgement sacking Emeka Ihedioha of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, as Governor of Imo State.
The post-no-debit order reads, “Following the Supreme Court judgment of 14 January 2020, I am directed by his excellency, Senator Hope Uzodinma, to take this as your authority/instruction to place a post no debit order on all accounts of the Imo State Government maintained in your various institutions.
