The Vice-chancellor of the Nigerian Army University Biu in Borno State, Professor Muhammed Kyari says, the Nigerian government must stop using the Backchannel Dialogue, where hefty ransoms are paid, but rather, adopt a comprehensive national security architecture, to end insecurity in the country.
Professor Mohammed Kyari gave the advice, when he was delivering a lecture at the third combined convocation ceremony, of the Adamawa State University, Mubi.

He was speaking on the topic, “Dialogue with the deaf: insurgency and education in Nigeria.”
The Vice-chancellor said, the government should be transparent in its dealings with insurgents and bandits.
Adamawa State University suffered insurgents’ attack in 2014.
At its combined convocation, the former Governor of Adamawa State, Boni Haruna, was conferred with an honorary degree, for establishing the university.
The Emir of Pindiga, Muhammed Seyoji, was also conferred with an honorary degree and installed the Second Chancellor of the institution.
