The people of Danya village in Bichi Local Government Area of Kano State, North-West Nigeria now hay potable water in their community after about forty years without such facility.
This is coming courtesy of the Kano State Government after a viral video surfaced on the Internet of the people appealing to Governor Abba Yusuf to come to their aid to end the perennial water scarcity in the village.
The people of Danya community which is about 23 kilometres away from Bichi town sometimes compete with animals in their search for water, after walking about three kilometres to the source of water in the area.
