Bala Hamisu popularly known as Wadume, a Former Army Captain Tijjani Yusuf and six others have been arraigned before the Federal High Court Abuja over charges bordering on terrorism, murder, kidnapping and illegal arms running.
In a thirteen count amended charge which excludes the names of officers involved in the killings, the seven defendants pleaded not guilty to the charges preferred against them by the federal government.
At the resumed hearing, the prosecutor, Shuaibu Labaran informed the court that the office of the Attorney General of the Federation has taken over the matter and he is ready to go on with the trial, Even though the defense counsel intends to move the bail application.
The defense counsel told the court that Wadume is critically ill and needs urgent medical attention.

Trial judge, Justice Binta Nyako granted the request and asked that a medical report be presented to the court afterwards and adjourned the case to June 22.
The other defendants listed in the charge sheet exempted from the arraignment are Staff Sgt. David Isaiah, Sgt. Ibrahim Mohammed, Corporal Bartholomew Obanye, Private Mohammed Nura, Lance Corporal Okorozie Gideon, Corporal Markus Michael, L/Corporal Nvenaweimoeimi Akpagra, Staff Sgt. Abdullahi Adamu, Private Ebele Emmanuel, Asp Aondona Iorbee, and Insp. Aliyu Dadje and Auwalu Bala, aka Omo Razor.
Others are Uba Bala, Ahmad Suleiman, Bashir Waziri, Zubairu Abdullahi, Hafizu Bala, and Rayyanu Abdul
