Zamfara State Governor Bello Mohammed has assured that the government will provide adequate security to the electorates during the Bakura State Constituency Bye- Election, in order to ensure peaceful conduct of the exercise.
The governor who was represented by his deputy, Mahadi Gusau, gave the assurance during INEC stakeholders meeting, ahead of the State Assembly Election.
The issues of security, covid-19 guidelines, recruitment of adhoc staff, accreditation of observers, free and credible election dominated the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC stakeholders meeting, ahead of the Bakura State Constituency Bye- Election in Zamfara State.
The State Constituency Bakura Bye-election is to replace Honourable Tukur Jekadda Birnin Tudun who died 29th May.

The Resident Electoral Commissioner in Zamfara State, Asmau Sani, has said that the commission is well prepared to conduct the Bakura State Constituency Bye-election, which is slated for 31st October.
The representative of Zamfara State governor, Mahadi Gusau, appealed to foreign countries to help Nigeria’s democracy to grow.
He pledges the state government’s drive to ensure free, fair, credible and peaceful election.
The stakeholders’ meeting is being attended by members of the various political parties, civil society organizations, the Nigerian Union of Journalists, NUJ, CAN and the representatives of security agencies, among others.
