The Governor of Zamfara State Bello Matawalle has assured people of the state that the current security challenge will soon be a thing of the past.
Speaking with State House Correspondents after meeting with the Chief of Staff to the President Ibrahim Gambari on Tuesday, the Governor said the rising insecurity in the North of Nigeria was also discussed extensively.

He explained that Northern Governors had earlier met with the National Security Adviser NSA, the Inspector General of Police IGP and other security agencies with a view to finding lasting solutions.
Matawalle said the Zamfara State Government is working closely with security agencies; using the stick and carrot approach.
