Zamfara State Governor, Bello Mohammed has refused to grant audience to Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, Sadiya Umar Farouk who was on an official visit to the State.
The Minister who is also an indigene of the State was said to have visited Gusau to flag-off the Conditional Cash Transfer payments, distribution of fertilizer and to handover Covid-19 palliatives to the State Government.
All the programme of activities billed to involve the Minister could not hold due to the audience she did not receive from the Governor. She is said to have visited the Government House to meet with the Governor but had to wait at the reception for several hours without being attended to after which she left.
The Minister is said to have headed straight to board a helicopter at the Headquarters of 207 Quick Response Group of the Nigerian Air Force and returned to Abuja, the nation’s capital.

The Minister did not grant any interview to journalists who sought to know what transpired that lead to her not being received by her State governor, Bello Mohammed. Meanwhile, media aides of both the Governor and the Minister have declined comments on the matter.
