Zamfara State government says it will slash its 2020 Budget by 20% to reflect the current economic realities, occasioned by the coronavirus pandemic.
The Commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning, Ibrahim Magayaki disclosed this in an exclusive interview with ait.live in Gusau, the Zamfara State capital.
Magayaki said the reduction became necessary after the coronavirus pandemic reordered the political, social and economic life of the global communities, of which Nigeria is not an exception.

The Zamfara State Commissioner for Budget and Economic planning, Ibrahim Magayaki, explains that the ministry has already met with all stakeholders, regarding the review of the budget.
He also reiterated Governor Bello Mohammed led the administration’s determination to improve the livelihood of the citizens, towards alleviating the hardship occasioned by the security challenges in the state.
