The Governor of Zamfara State, Bello Matawalle, has sworn in 19 Commissioners and 28 special advisers to constitute his cabinet.
The Governor said he put the cabinet members on three months’ probation to observe their performance in terms of delivering the dividends of democracy to the people of the state.
Addressing the newly inaugurated commissioners and special advisers, the Governor charged them to educate the public about the mission, policies, and programmes of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), administration and work together to ensure its success in the state.
Governor Matawalle also warned the cabinet members to refrain from any form of laxity. He advised them to live above board in order to move the state to greater heights.
The state’s Head of Service, Kabiru Balarabe, who spoke on behalf of the cabinet members, thanked the Governor for the confidence reposed on them.
Balarabe assured that they will work assiduously to bring about development in the state.
The Governor added that he would quarterly review the performance of each commissioner and special advisers with a view to ensuring efficiency and productivity.
