Zamfara State Government has banned the activities of fuel hawkers, popularly known as black marketers in some parts of the state with immediate effect, until further notice.
The general areas affected are Wanke, Magami, Dansadau, Dangulbi, Dankurmi, Bindin, Munhaye, Kizarah, Kunchin Kalgo and their surroundings.

A statement by the Commissioner for Information, Ibrahim Dosara, said the move is part of steps taken by the State Government at tackling the recent upsurge in attacks by bandits in the state.
The statement said all filling stations within the affected areas are hereby warned to desist from selling petroleum products to jerry cans or any other containers, except for motor vehicles.
NUPENG and other associations on petroleum products are directed to advise their members to shun any acts, capable of sabotaging the government order.
Security agencies are also directed to ensure full compliance with the order.
