Ekiti State Government says it is considering further extension of the Coronavirus lockdown in the State following the report of a third case of the infection.
The first two Coronavirus cases in the State were successfully treated and discharged.
The State Governor, Kayode Fayemi said the new case is a 29-year old pregnant woman, who is a community health worker from Ikorodu Lagos that sneaked into the State overnight. He added that her movement from one public and private hospital to the other in the State casts uncertainties on the number of people she might have come in contact with.

Fayemi blamed the laxity of security agents that allowed the latest case into the State which further puts the community at risk.
The State Commissioner of Police, Amba Asuquo says security operatives will henceforth intensify surveillance across the border towns to prevent a repeat of the situation.
