Governor Fintiri set to send 600 hunters to police college towards tackling insecurity

Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Fintiri has promised to send six hundred hunters to the Police Training College, to be trained in line with global practices of tackling insecurity.

On the second of February 2021, Governor Fintiri had signed an Executive Order, banning the use of tricycles and motorcycles in the three Local Governments areas of Girei, Yola North, and Yola South, within the hours of 10:00 pm to 5:00 am.

The order said, defaulters will face six months imprisonment with an option of one Hundred thousand Naira fine or both.

The decision by Governor Ahmadu Fintiri is geared towards building an Adamawa State that is free of thuggery, robbery, maiming, and other criminal activities.

To assess the level of compliance, the governor in the company of security personnel, embarked on a night patrol to some of the areas in the affected local governments.

Similarly, to support the security agencies flush out perpetrators of crimes in the state, the governor has distributed thirty operational vehicles and motorcycles to the state hunters association.
