Mpox: Lagos Govt kick-starts public health campaign

The Lagos State Government has initiated a public health campaign against Mpox to prevent the importation of the virulent clade 1B which is spreading fast in Central Africa.

Speaking at a media briefing, The Health commissioner, Professor Akin Abayomi said there is no active case of the disease in Lagos.

He However Urged residents to adhere to preventive measures given the high risk of importation of the virulent variant through various points of entry to the country
