Bayelsa State Governor, Senator Douye Diri, has called on people of the state at home and in the diaspora to join hands with his administration in order to take the state to enviable heights.
The Governor, who spoke at his inauguration thanksgiving service at the King of Glory Chapel, Government House in Yenagoa, also assured the citizens of matching his words with actions.
It was an atmosphere of praise and thanksgiving when the people from all nooks and crannies of Bayelsa State and even beyond especially those of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, family gathered on the King of Glory Chapel at the “Creek Haven” to appreciate God for a successful inauguration of the new Governor.
The need for an industrial revolution as the key to growing the state’s economy formed part of the homily delivered by the officiating priest.

Governor Diri, who affirmed that power can only come from God, called for a united front to move the state forward.
With intercessory prayers offered for the new administration, it is expected to hit the ground running as it looks set to put smiles on the faces of Bayelsa people.
