Bayelsa State could achieve 24 hours uninterrupted power supply only with the support of the State Government and prompt payment of electricity bills by consumers.
Officials of the Port Harcourt Electricity Distribution company, PHEDC, told Governor Douye Diri in Yenagoa while briefing him on reasons for the poor power supply situation in the state.

This is the second time officials of the PHEDC are visiting the Bayelsa State Governor on the current epileptic power supply experienced in the state.
Governor Diri assured of the state’s partnership with the distribution company to ensure adequate power.
He, however, lamented over the uncompromising attitude of consumers.
It is hoped that the partnership between the PHEDC and the State Government would bring succour to the people and improve the socio-economic life of the state.
