The Kogi State Government has called on the people of Akwu in the eastern part of the state to remain calm, following a night of violence that left three persons dead.
The State Security Adviser, SSA, Jerry Omodara, who spoke with AIT in Lokoja, said the trouble in Akwu was caused by some groups agitating for the traditional stool in the community.
He, however, warned that the state government and security agencies will not sit back and watch trouble makers have their way.
Omodara confirmed that security agents are already on ground in Akwu to maintain peace.
