Taraba State government has inaugurated its first Covid-19 test centre.
The project which was commissioned by the Deputy Governor, Haruna Manu, is located at the State Specialist Hospital in Jalingo.
Manu said that the sample collation centres will be set up in all the zones of the state.
He hinted that the laboratory will pave way for the community testing of Covid-19, which will determine the level of spread among citizens.

The Taraba State Deputy Governor, who also doubles as the state’s Chairman of Covid-19 Technical Committee, further stated that the project is worth millions of Naira, and will allow for early detection of Covid-19 cases, thereby laying to rest the transportation of samples to other states for the test.
