The Cross River State Police Command says it has deployed technical and human resources to safely secure the release of the medical doctor, Otu Vivien who was abducted Friday night along Marian Road in Calabar, the state capital.
State Police Public Relations Officer, Irene Ugbo gave the assurances while confirming to ait.live the effort of the police and other security operatives on the Incident.
Ugbo said the Commisioner of Police Abdulkadir Jimoh has approved the deployment of both anti-kidnapping and anti-cultism teams to comb all the suspected areas in the State with the use of the newly acquired technical equipments by the State Command.
She called on the citizens to give useful information that will help the police to unravel criminals hideouts in the State, particularly around the riverine communities of Calabar, Akpabuyo, Bakassi and Akampa LGAs.

Dr. Otu Vivien was forcefully abducted by some gunmen suspected to be kidnappers on Friday night at a popular food joint on Marian Road off State Housing at about 10 pm.
