Taraba State Technical Committee Chairman on Covid-19, Innocent Vakkai, says the state recently recorded 24 cases accumulated in the last two weeks.
The spread of the virus in the state has also been confirmed by the Technical Committee to be at the community level.
Vakkai said the state has so far tested over 500 samples, out of which a total of 54 tested positive, with 24 active cases.
He noted that the state now has 24 cases who are contacts of previous positive cases in the state.
High risk areas in Taraba State are Jalingo, Gassol, Wukari, and Takum Local Government Areas.
The Chairman said the cases of covid-19 in Taraba State might be more, if the state had a test centre, as it is now not carrying out enough testing.

The Taraba State Technical Committee on Covid-19 raised concerns over the disregard of precautionary guidelines in the state.
