The Deputy Inspector-General of Police coordinating Edo State election, Adeleye Oyebade, has assured of successful and credible election in the state.
The DIG, who is on a monitoring visit to the Headquarters of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, at Aduwawa, said the police and other security agencies have been professional in their duties towards a free, fair, credible, and acceptable election.
Oyebade insisted that the restriction of persons till 6 pm will be enforced as other activities including vote counting and collation of result is set to take off in accordance with the laws of the land.
He appealed to all Edo electorates to be calm and do the needful to ensure that a credible election is achieved, noting that the visit to the Headquarters of INEC is to further strengthen the necessary security arrangement put in place.
