Justice Mohammed Umar has adjourned hearing on the case filed by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, bordering on alleged #700million money laundering against the Governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress , APC, in the 19th September election, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu and four others to 20th October 2020.
Justice Umar said the adjournment is to enable the counsel to EFCC ,Ahmed Arogha to respond to the objection motion filed by counsels to the defendants on whether the court has jurisdiction to entertain the case.
The trail Judge, also gifted the defendants counsel seven days to also respond to whatever the counsel to the EFCC will file
The case will now come up on the 15th October 2020 for continuation of hearing on the motion on notice bordering on the jurisdiction of the court to hear the case filed by counsels to the defendants.

Meanwhile the APC Governorship Candidate in the 19th September election Osagie Ize-Iyamu who is the first defendant was present in court as well other defendants in the suit which includes, former Edo State Peoples Democratic Party Chairman, Dan Orbih; the incumbent state chairman of the party, Tony Aziegbemi,Former Deputy Governor of Edo State Lucky Imasuen, and Efe Erimuoghae Anthony were all present.
