The Edo state mobile court set up by the state government to punish offenders of covid-19 Safety protocols has sentenced eight persons to three hours of community service for breaching the protocols of wearing face masks and the restrictions of movement order from 10 pm to 5 am daily.
The presiding magistrate of the mobile court Bright Oniha convicted eight of the offenders after they pleaded guilty to the offence.
The offenders who were caught not wearing face masks and loitering about during the restrictions of movement ordered by the Edo state government were asked to sweep the court premises while others were to cut grass for three hours.

Some of the convicts speak to newsmen on the various offences levelled against them.
Three others were however discharged because the evidence against them were not enough for the magistrate to convict them.
