Edo state government says proactive steps are being taken to ensure that the 20th national sports festival coming up on march 22 is coronavirus free throughout the duration of the games and after.
This was made known by the deputy governor philip shaibu who doubles as the chairman, local organising committee, loc at a media briefing in benin city, the state capital

With few days to the commencement of the games that will run through to april 1, 2020, the edo state government says no stone will be left unturned to ensure a smooth, successful and hitch free competition. This is as the authorities are also taking into consideration the novel coronavirus currently ravaging countries around the world.

The minister noted that edo has raised the bar and set a standard for others to emulate.
