The Oba of Benin, Oba Ewuare II, has appealed to the End SARS protesters across Nigeria to give peace a chance since their complaints have been registered.
The Benin monarch made the appeal when the Minister of State for Budget and National Planning, Clem Agba, paid him a courtesy visit in his palace ahead of the stakeholders meeting in Edo State regarding the state of the nation.
Oba Ewuare II, while addressing the Minister of State for Budget and Planning and his entourage, commiserated with the families of the youths who lost their lives as a result of the End SARs protests across the country.
Agba said he was in Benin City on the directive of the President to hold a stakeholders meeting regarding the agitation of the youths calling for an end to the Special Anti robbery Squad Sars which sparked out nationwide protests across the country.
The Minister said the meeting has been postponed twice because of the state government’s inability to meet up with the scheduled date.
