Chairman, House of Representatives Committee and on Aviation, Noli Nnaji has expressed dissatisfaction with the slow pace of renovation and construction work at the Akanu Ibiam International Airport Enugu, South East Nigeria.

Nnaji spoke when he led members of the Committee on inspection visit of on going construction work at the Airport.

The visit by the House Committee members was to access the quality of construction work at the Airport and the level of job done so far by the contractor.

Interacting with the contractor after inspecting the level of job, the House Committee Chairman noted that there was no indication to show that the project would be completed before April 2020 as contained in contract agreement.

Nnaji however appealed to the contractor not to disappoint Nigerians and keep to contract specifications, stressing that the Federal Government has allocated enough funds for the project.

The tour of the Airport project took the Committee to various construction sites including the runway, airport terminal and international wing where construction work is on going.
