Gombe State Governor, Inuwa Yahaya has assured that his administration will accord the educational sector priority for the good of the younger generation.
The Governor made the commitment while receiving the report of the Committee on 5 new state-owned tertiary institutions.
It was a short ceremony but significant giving the stance of the Governor Inuwa administration on education both for basic and tertiary Institutions in the State.

The State Government last year constituted a Committee to look into the viability of 5 higher institutions established by the last administration in the State.
The institutions include the Gombe State University of Science and Technology Kumo, College of Education Billiri, College of Legal and Islamic Studies Nafada, School of Nursing and Midwifery Dukku and the Gombe State Polytechnic Bajoga.
Although the Committee did not reveal the recommendations on the said institutions, the State Governor says the recommendations would be studied by the Government
All eyes are now on the government white paper that could reveal the recommendations and what would be the fate of the 5 tertiary institutions in the State.
