The Gombe State Government has launched the 2019-2020 annual vaccination of one million cattle against contagious livestock disease across the State.
Governor Inuwa Yahaya who launched the vaccination campaign in Gona, Akko Local Government Area of the State says the initaive was to boost the livestock sub-sector and contribute to the economy of the State and the economy.
The new initiative in the agricultural sector of the State is to support herdsmen as the get free vaccines for the contagious Bovine Pleuro Pneumonia in cattle and Pesti des Petitis Ruminnant in sheep and goats courtesy of the State Government.

For the herdsmen, this initiative would be an added boost to their trade.
The State Governor on his part assures of government support to the herdsmen giving the value they add to the state.
Many say the vaccination is an added boost for agriculture in the State with an expected increase of livestock for the State and the country.
